Kermit ISD School Resource Officer (SRO)

I have great news! Through a joint partnership between the Kermit Independent School District, Winkler County Juvenile Probation and the Winkler County Sheriff's Office we have chosen a School Resource Officer (SRO) for Kermit ISD. The primary function of any SRO is to help build relationships with students, parents and community, while also helping to provide a safe and secure environment for all stakeholders within the school. Our New SRO is...........Rachel Cogburn and she has been with the Winkler County Sheriff's office for over two years. Her husband is also a police officer for the City of Kermit and their oldest child attends Kermit Elementary. She will begin on campuses on May 6, 2019. If you see her, or anyone from the joint partnership - please let them know how glad we are to be able to have a full-time SRO for Kermit ISD.
