What a day we have had at Kermit High School. We started off with Zaniel Florez signing a letter of intent to continue his powerlifting career at the University of Texas in Austin. Then we had the opportunity to send Bradley Peralta off in fashion to the State track meet in Austin, and we finished the day by celebrating 10 of our seniors that will graduate from Odessa College this Saturday with an associate degree before their High school graduation on Friday, May 28th. It is a great day to be a YellowJacket!!

Kermits Bradley Peralta has the new Region 1 400m dash record after 24 years, passing Roy Williams.
Congratulations to Bradley Peralta for Qualifing for state in the 400m dash and setting a new regional record with 47.95. The record has been in place for 24 years. What a great accomplishment.
The Kermit Girls golf team competed in the Regional Qualifiers Golf Meet at Rockwind Community Links. The Lady Jackets finished 2nd place as a team.

Congratulations to the KHS unified track team. They place 2nd in the West Region and will represent Kermit at the state unified track meet on April 29th in San Antonio.
KHS regional qualifiers played one of the top golf courses in the state of New Mexico. Kermit shot a 359 to finish in 2nd place.
